An Unconventional Youth: Tales from Ke Gao

This is the public high school with the lowest entrance exam scores.

Its students fall into two categories: those who don’t want to study and those who can’t.

The teachers each have their own special talents, too: cursing halfway through physics class, sitting with their legs crossed reading Story Club in math class, or secretly writing campus romance novels during Chinese class.

Mei Yiran gets kicked out of his dorm for snoring and, by a strange twist of fate, becomes roommates with Long Cheng, the “school menace.”

He expects to get bullied, but this guy, who always has a pair of scissors on hand, is more cowardly than anyone.

No comeback story, no System, no superhumans.

Just the whole class nodding off during lessons, fighting over food after class, streaking before lights-out, and... a lively game of airplane.

You might think the worst high schools are full of nothing but losers.

But there was also a group of eccentric, unpredictable oddballs there, living earnestly and strangely through three unforgettable years.
