Genshin Impact: Telling the History of China

An ancient name can be a piece of history, or a memory passed down through generations. When disaster strikes and a turning point arrives, heroes must step forward. That is the very purpose of the ancient names recorded in history. Those who come after must remember that, at pivotal moments in history, so many people stepped forward. To forget history is to betray it. “Huaxia has never had gods, and has no need of them.” “People today can ascend to the heavens and explore the vastness of the universe.” “They can also dive into the depths to seek out the creatures of darkness.” “We have never feared hardship. When hardship comes, we overcome it.” “If the sky falls, we mend it. If there are too many suns, we shoot them down. If the seas rise, we fill them in.” Dainsleif: “So mortals can go up to the heavens and down into the earth?” Zhongli: “Is this what a nation without gods is like?” The Pyro Archon, Mavuika: “Perhaps this is the meaning of the ancient names.”
