The Mad CEO's Amnesiac Canary

To pay for his father’s medical bills, Bai Zhiyan enters the entertainment industry, only for his uncle to put a price on him and sell him to a wealthy businessman. With nowhere else to turn, Bai Zhiyan asks Si Xichen for help. As the head of a top financial conglomerate, Si Xichen is instantly drawn to Bai Zhiyan. When the young man suddenly loses his memory, Si Xichen forces him to sign an agreement, making him his canary and keeping him locked at his side. Bai Zhiyan still remembers his burning desire to enter showbiz, but Si Xichen takes him to a cocktail party instead. “Those celebrities are just playthings. Is that what you want to be?” “I want to enter showbiz.” “So you just want to have some fun in the entertainment industry. It’s not like he can’t afford to make that happen.” The young star enters showbiz, only to be mocked by his senior for having no connections and deserving to have his opportunities stolen. But at a banquet packed with the elite, where even the senior can only play second fiddle, business king Si Xichen personally feeds the young star little cakes. Surrounded by people eager to curry favor with Si Xichen, the young star is too nervous to even swallow. The man gently pinches his wrist. “Just eat. They have no right to speak to you.” While he has amnesia, the domineering CEO grips the poor thing’s chin. “You’re not going anywhere but by my side.” After his memory returns, the man begs humbly, “I don’t want to be anywhere but by your side.” Bai Zhiyan: “How can a perfectly good CEO be such an idiot?” P.S. One-on-one, both leads are each other’s first, forced relationship on the surface, sweet and doting underneath.
