After the Rain, I Found You

Long Yue lost her parents when she was young. By the time she was six, her grandparents had also passed away, leaving her and her elder brother, Long Jingcheng, to depend on each other. On the eve of her eighteenth birthday, her brother told her she was expected to honor the engagement arranged between the Long and Gu families before she was born. Her coming-of-age ceremony would also be her engagement ceremony. Her fiancé, Gu Jinze, was young and successful, but his ruthless ways struck fear into everyone who heard of him. Rumor had it that he didn’t like women. Long Yue was strongly opposed to the match, but when her brother insisted, she chose to run away from home and escape the wedding. After leaving the Long family, Long Yue met Ling Ziqian. He had once helped her, so she believed he was a good person, unaware that he was actually a scumbag. For his sake, Long Yue, who had grown up in luxury, lowered herself to take a job and earn money so he could finish graduate school and find a good job. But after Ling Ziqian joined a Fortune 500 company, he got involved with his supervisor’s daughter for the sake of his career and cheated on Long Yue. Heartbroken, Long Yue decided to jump into the river and end her life. Fortunately, Gu Jinze arrived in time, jumped in without hesitation, saved her, and took her home. Gu Jinze took devoted care of Long Yue and learned why she had run away. He found an opportunity to clear up her misunderstanding about him. As the days went by, Long Yue came to feel his sincerity. At last, she let go of her reservations and got together with Gu Jinze.
