Happiness, Unhurried

Chen Taotao had been in a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend for four years. After graduating from graduate school, she moved to Jiangcheng to work, as the two of them had agreed. Less than a year later, instead of being reunited with her boyfriend, she got a call from a strange woman: “It doesn’t matter who I am. Are you Yu Quanbo’s girlfriend? I’m telling you, he doesn’t like you anymore. He’s with me now. Stay away from him from now on.” Yes, her boyfriend had cheated on her. She quit her job and went to the city where he worked, hoping to win him back, but a series of events broke her heart. She returned to Jiangcheng to start over.

On the train back to Jiangcheng, she met a gentle man named Meng Yanhe. He told her, “Wipe your tears. There aren’t many people in this world who are worth crying over, so treasure your tears and think of them as pearls.”

In the days that followed, Chen Taotao endured all kinds of bizarre blind dates and was even deceived in an online relationship. But after all the twists and turns, there was always someone waiting for her: Meng Yanhe, the man she had met, who had also been there for her on the forum. He gave her warmth and quiet help, listened to her vent, and kept her company at meals. It was as simple as that.

Happiness is waiting there for you, unhurried. Don’t rush.
