Two Hearts in Tune, Our Longing Written in a Silk Letter

Childhood sweethearts, an ancient-style romance about lifelong devotion to one person, set in a fictional Great Qi. Fourth Prince Heba Yiwei is the son of the Northern Qi emperor and a Han Chinese consort. As a boy, he lived temporarily in Tanzhou with his mother, where he saved Ye Beiying, the daughter of Tanzhou's garrison commander, from a bolting horse. Beiying was lovely, sweet-natured, and well-behaved, and Yiwei's mother adored her. Yiwei was aloof from a young age, but treated Beiying differently from everyone else. Later, Yiwei returned to Northern Qi with his mother but never stopped thinking about Beiying. Seven years later, he found her again. When war broke out between their two countries, Yiwei volunteered to lead the siege in order to protect Beiying. Her father, Ye Qingxuan, was killed in battle, and Yiwei brought the girl he loved back to his own princely residence, no matter the cost. After enduring misunderstandings and hardships, Beiying was taken away by her sworn brother, Zhao Mu, and left for a year. In the end, Yiwei was gravely wounded after Zhao Mu ambushed him during a military campaign. Only then did Beiying see her own heart clearly, and the two reconciled. Though Heba Yiwei is a prince of high rank, young and handsome, his love is pure and unwavering. He has never entertained any other thoughts; he only wants to be with the woman he loves. Perhaps this idealized kind of romance isn't realistic, but in such a chaotic world, it's a love worth longing for.
