The Mother-in-Law Who Was Shockingly Stingy

My mother-in-law is extremely thrifty.

She picks the red marks off paper other people have used and removes the yellowed parts, then uses it again.

She uses the black waste oil from the range hood to cook our meals.

She says, "Thrift is a virtue. It brings blessings!"

I tried and tried to persuade her, threw away all her filthy things, and protected the whole family's health.

But while she praised me to my face, behind my back she used my son's baby food scissors to clip her gray toenails!

My child died of a lung infection, and I was utterly devastated.

But my mother-in-law pointed at me and cursed me, calling me a bringer of bad luck who had ruined her family. Even my husband blamed me.

In the end, they drove a knitting needle through my throat and stabbed me to death.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day I discovered my mother-in-law picking up dirty paper.

The first thing I did was hide all the high-quality toilet paper I'd stockpiled before getting pregnant, then pretend I knew nothing.

So, blessings, huh?

All right.

You can take the blessings that come from being so miserly and thrifty yourself!
