This book allowed me to see another side of history that was unknown to me. Just like Song Zifu in the book, although he is a loser, he has his own kindness and ideals. This reminds me of Liu Bei in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms". He is also a benevolent and righteous man, and their stories are touching. There are too many such characters in the long history.
