The Day Immortality Reigns, My Child, the Day Immortal Seeds Gather

On the vast and mysterious Immortal Spirit Continent, an old man over three hundred years old and the frail, frequently ill Long Yi depend on each other in a thatched cottage in the valley. Long Yi’s father had a son in his old age and prayed to the heavens that his boy might become an immortal in this life.

Suddenly, a mysterious figure in a black robe appeared. He told Long Yi that he would have to pass through reincarnation nine times and retrieve nine items before he could cultivate immortality, then sent him somewhere else.

In his ninth life, Long Yi enters an unknown world. After passing the trials of Qingyun Sect, he starts as a servant disciple, masters martial arts such as the Lingxiao Sword Technique, and obtains many magical treasures. At Hundred Blossoms Valley, he learns medicine and poison arts, gathers spirit herbs and fruits, and makes friends with Lin Feng, Ling Yunfeng, the Flamebird, and others. He faces a challenge from the Shadow Hall and obtains a mysterious sword. At Vajra Temple, he receives Buddhist scriptures. When demons invade, he joins the battle and grows stronger, eventually mastering the Ninefold Reincarnation Sword.

Afterward, he transmigrates back through his first eight lives. In his first life, he was a farmer who failed to find the path to immortality. In his second, he was born into wealth but knew little family affection. In his third, he grew up in a family of scholars but was disliked by others. In his fourth, he came from a family of military generals and struggled to balance martial prowess with cultivating immortality. In his fifth, he was born into a family of artisans, where the hardships of life hindered his cultivation. In his sixth, he came from a family of doctors and could not set aside his responsibilities. In his seventh, he was born into a family of wandering performers and drifted through a lonely life. In his eighth, he came from a family living at a temple and was torn between Buddhism, Daoism, and immortal arts. From each of these eight lives, Long Yi retrieves one immortal seed.

In his ninth life, Long Yi also finds the immortal seed meant for him. After enduring trial upon trial thanks to his unbroken immortal fate, he cultivates the Ninefold Reincarnation Body. Following the Ninefold Reincarnation Scripture, he uses the Ninefold Reincarnation Art to fuse all nine immortal seeds into the Ninefold Reincarnation Sword. Success brings down a tribulation of lightning. In the end, Long Yi survives the lightning tribulation and becomes a Ninefold Immortal Venerable, embarking on the path to the sacred realm of immortal cultivation.
