I Cultivate the Way of Time, Immortal and Undying

There was a small village, isolated from the rest of the world, where the people lived quiet and peaceful lives. Then one day, a huge pit appeared in the center of the village, its depths impossible to see. Hideous demons crawled out, all sharp-beaked and fanged, slaughtering the villagers. Just then, a radiant figure appeared in the sky. Slowly descending to the ground, the figure stood between the surviving villagers and the demons, gazing at the earth stained red with blood. “Ah…” With nothing more than a soft sigh, the demons that had been slaughtering the villagers vanished. The figure looked at the survivors huddled together and snapped their fingers. The villagers the demons had killed came back to life. When they saw the figure, they all fell prostrate, their eyes full of awe. The figure looked toward the huge pit in the center of the village and raised a hand slightly. A stone stele appeared, sealing the pit. A day later, the villagers rose as if waking from sleep. There was not a trace of blood on the ground, nor any sign of the demons. The only proof that what had happened was no dream was the stone stele standing in the middle of the village. The villagers rushed to it. Four words were carved into its face: Tomb of Light and Darkness.
