Reborn: A Fated Journey with My Fair Princess

At the age of eighty-nine, as Emperor Qianlong lay dying, his thoughts lingered on Xiao Yanzi, Yongqi, and the others, far away in Dali, Yunnan. He especially longed for Nan'er, Xiao Yanzi's daughter, whom he had never seen again after meeting her in Dali. In a strange twist of fate, after Qianlong breathed his last, he was reborn two months after Xiao Yanzi had first entered the palace. At this point, Xiao Yanzi had yet to admit that she was a fake princess, and Ziwei was still a palace maid. Drawing on his memories of his previous life, the reborn Qianlong takes a fresh look at those around him. The Empress has changed from her former ruthless self, becoming kind and magnanimous, while her rivalry with Consort Ling grows ever fiercer. Consort Ling remains gentle on the surface but scheming within, stopping at nothing to target Xiao Yanzi and Ziwei. When the Fifteenth Prince suddenly falls ill, Consort Ling is frantic, and an elderly palace matron's advice prompts her to reflect on herself. Xiao Yanzi and Ziwei put the past aside and visit the Fifteenth Prince, gradually changing Consort Ling's attitude. However, when Consort Hua learns of this, she is displeased and begins plotting a new scheme. An even greater storm is about to sweep through the palace. The story follows Qianlong as he meets and spends time with Xiao Yanzi, Ziwei, and the others once more. Together, they face a series of adventures and emotional entanglements amid the ever-shifting currents of court life, rewriting their legend.
