After I Was Skinned and Died, the Nation’s Fortune Was Doomed

My legitimate older sister and I were born on the same day. She was the Chosen One of the nation's destiny, worshipped by the people from birth, while I was lowborn and destined to serve as her scapegoat. The country was beset by disaster, and the people lived in misery. Every time my sister prayed for the nation's fortune, my family made me kneel on a bed of nails to ward off calamity for her. My own mother gouged out my eyes to use as medicine for my sister's illness. My crown prince husband wanted to make my sister smile, so he personally carved out my bones and presented them to her as toys. After I died a miserable death, the court was shaken, the land fell apart, and Great Yan was plunged into endless war and plague. Everyone went mad with regret.
