In the future, technology for transferring consciousness has been secretly under development for years. Li Jie is a hacker prodigy, but suffering from a terminal illness, he is forced to seek a way to extend his life. During a chance hacking assignment, he discovers that Nanjiang, a leading global technology company, is secretly pursuing a “consciousness transfer” project. The company claims it can move a person’s consciousness into a virtual body in a parallel world, allowing them to escape death in the real world.
