Amid the clamor of a bustling city street, a car careened out of control like a wild horse breaking free of its reins. Yang Lin was crossing at a crosswalk, lost in thoughts of the future and completely unaware of the danger closing in. A deafening crash rang out, and for a moment, the world seemed to sink into endless darkness.
