Ye Cheng, a wandering martial artist burdened by a blood feud, is accidentally injured while being hunted. He is rescued by Liu Qingyi, the successor to a renowned healer who lives in seclusion in a valley. Liu Qingyi’s warmth and kindness gradually melt Ye Cheng’s cold heart, and the two begin to fall in love. But fate has other plans: Ye Cheng discovers that Liu Qingyi is the younger sister of his enemy, Shangguan Yunhe, leaving him torn. Shangguan Yunhe seeks to dominate the martial world and repeatedly hunts Ye Cheng, threatening Liu Qingyi’s life to force his hand. In the end, Liu Qingyi dies saving Ye Cheng. After defeating Shangguan Yunhe, Ye Cheng, brokenhearted, chooses to wander the world.
