(Sun Wukong, Lin Daiyu) In the Eastern Continent of Shengzhou stood Flower-Fruit Mountain. On the mountain was a magic stone imbued with the spirit of heaven and earth, which transformed into the Handsome Monkey King. The king studied under Patriarch Bodhi, mastered many skills, then descended to the Eastern Sea and wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Court. But he could not escape the Buddha’s grasp. Just as the Buddha was about to pin him beneath Five-Finger Mountain, a flash of golden light streaked past, and the Handsome Monkey King’s vision went dark. When he opened his eyes again, a beautiful young woman stood before him. She said, “I don’t have one of those. I suppose that jade must be a rare treasure. How could everyone have one?” The Handsome Monkey King looked down at the jade in his hand. “Then I’ll give it to you.”
