Black Myth: Reborn After the Great Sage Beat Me to Death

The heavenly soldier Han Xiaoli was gravely wounded and left on the brink of death after being effortlessly defeated by the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, during the campaign to encircle and destroy him. He died with resentment and regret toward the Heavenly Court. Yet he was reborn at the crucial moment when he was about to ascend to immortality through tribulation. He deliberately did not resist the heavenly lightning, failed the tribulation, and escaped the fate the Heavenly Court had set for him with only a faint wisp of his primordial spirit. Han Xiaoli concealed the aura of his primordial spirit and went to a cave abode to nurture it. When progress proved too slow, he risked leaving the cave, seized the body of a gravely wounded cultivator, and healed him. His cultivation journey began anew. Heaven had given him another chance at rebirth. In this life, he no longer pursued the so-called ascension to immortality through tribulation, nor the immortality it promised. See how Han Xiaoli rises from the ashes amid adversity and takes control of his own fate.
