You Asked for a Pay-to-Win Mobile Game, but You Made Black Myth: Wukong?

Su Bai transmigrates into a parallel-universe world overrun with trashy pay-to-win games and terrible titles.

By chance, he takes part in a show called Game Creation Masters for Everyone.

The contestants must design a game based on China's cultural treasure, Journey to the West, with skills that showcase its cultural features and plenty of ways to rake in cash.

Su Bai immediately decides to start making Black Myth: Wukong, a Chinese AAA game set for release on August 20.

The four bosses from major pay-to-win game companies all think it is doomed.

Mr. Ma: What? You can't draw cards in this game? How are players supposed to spend their 648 yuan?

Mr. Ding: This game has no economy system, let alone a Treasure Pavilion where you can exchange items for real-world cash. It's a worthless game with no value at all.

Mr. Chen: Where's the first-purchase bonus? The level-up bundles? The limited-time offers? The special deals? Are you kidding me? There's nothing here. How are you supposed to milk the players?

Despite the bad reviews from the mentors and audience, Su Bai's Black Myth: Wukong stands out and crushes the other pay-to-win online games.

Its sales sweep the world.

It sparks a global craze among foreigners for learning about Chinese culture!
