Broken Branch

When I was at my lowest, I used my own blood to save a crippled boy who was just as destitute as I was.

Later, he became a celebrated young marshal and searched the world for his benefactor.

Until he found my twin elder sister.

As for me, I fell into a brothel and became a disgrace to my family.

After contracting an incurable disease, I no longer wanted to live, so I went to throw myself down a well.

The water barely reached my ankles when my leg broke.

Some fool with no sense of direction jumped in after me. My arm broke too.
