Waiting for the Wind to Brush the Treeline

[Embarrassing old work. Don’t read.]

[Another world | Mutual pining | Healing and redemption | Sweet romance, no angst | Happy ending]

[Insecure, easygoing good girl × Narcissistic, secretly smitten young master]

Wen Zhi was raised by her uncle from a young age. At eleven, by chance, she stumbled into the spirit realm, a world parallel to the human one, and became an ordinary spirit-realm citizen. Though she escaped the life of being dependent on others, the shadows of her childhood never left her. Facing repeated discrimination and unfair treatment in the spirit realm, she gradually became cautious and afraid of making mistakes. Just when she thought she would spend her life muddling along, a chance encounter brought her to Xie Wuyi, young master of the Xie family. Through a series of mishaps, she was admitted to Dreamchaser Academy and became his classmate. Her once gloomy, lonely life gradually began to brighten.

Wen Zhi was troubled. She didn’t know when Xie Wuyi had started engineering so-called coincidences to steer her in a certain direction like a trap, and she couldn’t find any reason to argue against him.

At last, one day, Wen Zhi decided to be honest with him face-to-face. “Could you stop playing around the edges? This isn’t right.”

Xie Wuyi raised an eyebrow. His gaze slowly traveled downward as he lifted her chin. His voice was tender, his eyes unusually earnest. “If you think this counts as playing around the edges, then let’s just say we were destined to take this shot together.”

[“Wen Jiujiu, you tell me: I’ve liked you for so long. What am I supposed to do?”

“Then... then do whatever you want.”]
