The Villainous Male Lead's Carefree Life

Stage actor Shen Qingwu accidentally fell off the stage during rehearsal. When he woke up, he discovered he had entered the script and become a villainous male supporting character. The original Shen Qingwu loved the male lead, Xie Ruzhuo, and stopped at nothing to win him over, only to end up abandoned by everyone.

Shen Qingwu arrived just as the original was pushing Xie Ruzhuo into the water, hoping to stage a heroic rescue. But Shen Qingwu couldn't swim, so not only did he fail to save Xie Ruzhuo, he swallowed several mouthfuls of water himself. In the end, a passerby had to rescue him. Seeing his plan fall apart, Shen Qingwu decided to stop caring and stay away from the main plot, ready to enjoy a happy life of lying flat. He packed his things and moved out of the Xie residence, then used his savings to take over a teahouse. His expert tea-making skills and knowledge of the script drew in many influential and wealthy guests. Watching the balance in his account steadily grow, Shen Qingwu thought with satisfaction: “Now this is the life!”

But his peaceful life was soon disrupted when Xie Ruzhuo, the man he'd pushed into the water, showed up at his door and said with a lovestruck expression, “I know you did all of that because you love me.”
