Apocalypse: Earth's Last Day

A piercing alarm exploded beside my ear, jolting me awake. The electronic calendar by my bed flashed bright red: 3 days until the apocalypse. Warnings of quantum collapse scrolled across every screen in the room, mixed with experts' incoherent analyses and politicians' meaningless promises.

The apocalypse... Hadn't it been foretold long ago? I just always thought it was nothing more than needless worry.

I sprang out of bed, fear and excitement surging through me at once, impossible to describe. With no time to think, only one thought filled my mind: survive!

Mechanically, I opened my phone and began frantically selling off all my assets. Property, cars, stocks... I would get rid of everything, as long as I could turn it into cash. Prices had already plunged to unbelievable lows, but I didn't care anymore.
