The Village Doctor of the Countryside

Li Dazhu is the village idiot of Taohua Village. He’s usually slow-witted and foolish, but he’s in excellent shape and incredibly strong. Though Taohua Village is remote, its land and water are nourishing, and most of the women in the village are beautiful. It’s a typical village with far more women than men, and many of the men have gone away to work. So what are the women left behind supposed to do? Zhao Xuemei, the village’s most beautiful woman, is often harassed by local ruffians because of her looks. Dazhu steps up to drive them away and takes it upon himself to care for her. In the end, with Dazhu leading the way, Taohua Village becomes a true earthly paradise.
