True Love Is Invincible

I stood by Zhou Ziyi when he was at his lowest, struggled alongside him, devoted myself to helping him succeed, and gave him all my love.

Everyone thought I would be the one listed as Zhou Ziyi’s spouse on his marriage certificate.

But just as Zhou Ziyi and I were about to walk down the aisle, he changed his mind.

He wanted to marry Lu Yue, the woman who had once left him, because she had terminal cancer and only had a few months to live.

When Zhou Ziyi broke up with me, I touched the crumpled cancer diagnosis in my pocket and asked him softly:

“Is there really no chance to change your mind?”

He shook his head.

I said nothing more and promptly moved out of the home I shared with Zhou Ziyi.

Later, on the day Zhou Ziyi and Lu Yue got married, I suddenly vomited blood and collapsed.

Zhou Ziyi wept bitterly, desperate to see me and beg for my forgiveness.

But how could I possibly give him what he wanted?
