I Used My Nemesis as a Cultivation Furnace, So Why Is He Addicted?

[Everyone in the sect knows we can’t stand each other, except at night!]

Everyone in the cultivation world knows that the Demon Lord Lin Qing and the Sword Venerable Gu Yuan have been mortal enemies for a hundred years. Whenever they meet, their swords come out.

But no one knows that Lin Qing’s cultivation technique has backfired, leaving him with the life-threatening “skin hunger syndrome” and a secret forbidden art: shared senses.

Whenever it flares up, if he doesn’t touch Gu Yuan, he’ll explode.

To stay alive, Lin Qing makes threats and draws his blade during the day. “Gu, I’ll kill you and offer you to the heavens sooner or later!”

At night, however, he sneaks into the Sword Venerable’s cave under cover of darkness and clings tightly to his waist, his voice trembling. “Lend me a little of your true energy, just one sip…”

Gu Yuan cultivates the merciless path and should have cut this demon down with one strike.

But whenever Lin Qing’s condition flares up, Gu Yuan, thousands of miles away, feels a strange, tingling heat surge through his body.

Then one day, Lin Qing is driven into a corner and decides to sever their shared senses and die.

The usually aloof and restrained Sword Venerable goes completely mad. In front of the whole world, he cuts down the Heavenly Ladder and pulls Lin Qing tight against his chest, eyes bloodshot. “You think you can run after using me? Too late.”
