What If Zhu Yingtai Married Ma Wencai?

Kindhearted beauty who never plays coy ✖️ Humble, devoted pursuer who gives it everything.

Ma Wencai sows misunderstandings between Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, making Liang Shanbo believe that Zhu Yingtai is a man who only wants him to marry her younger sister, Zhu Jiumei.

Liang Shanbo refuses to marry Zhu Jiumei. Zhu Yingtai thinks he has rejected her, and heartbroken, Ma Wencai seizes his chance.

Ma Wencai stops Liang Shanbo as he goes to propose and says, “Yingtai tricked you. He’s a man. He wants you to marry his sister, Zhu Jiumei.”

Zhu Yingtai asks Ma Wencai, “What should I do? I get so nervous when I see him.”

Ma Wencai says dotingly, “If you can’t say it, I’ll say it for you. If you can’t bring yourself to ask, I’ll ask for you.”

Ma Wencai asks Liang Shanbo, “Would you be willing to marry Zhu Jiumei?”

Liang Shanbo turns Zhu Yingtai down. “Forgive me, little brother, but I can’t marry Jiumei. Yingtai, I hope this won’t affect our friendship.”

Zhu Yingtai’s heart dies. “I understand.”

Ma Wencai seizes his chance and wins the beauty’s heart.
