My Family Regretted It After I Let Go

On my eighteenth birthday, my family promised to give me a birthday I would never forget.

I asked a friend to help me record the moment.

But they still hadn't come by late that night.

When my younger brother answered my call, he let out a scornful laugh.

"You really thought we were preparing a gift for you? Is there something wrong with your head?"

Heartbroken, I went home, only to find my family throwing a lavish coming-of-age ceremony for the fake heiress.

This birthday really was unforgettable.

I gave up on searching for familial affection and applied to study abroad instead.

But they panicked.

"Have you forgotten that we're your family?"
