Wasted Longing: Chasing You for Three Lifetimes, Loving You for Three Lives

They say that five hundred glances in a past life can earn you one brief encounter in this life. So I think I must have glanced back tens of millions of times and searched hundreds of millions of times before I met you in that endless crowd. You, the one and only you! When I first met him, I was a white plum blossom spirit who had cultivated for nearly a thousand years. I was only a century away from attaining immortality. I was so delighted that I spent my days basking in the sunshine, carefree and devoted to my cultivation. I knew nothing of the passing years, and even less about love. Then, one unusual afternoon, I met him. He was only a fleeting passerby in my life, yet I gave up a thousand years of cultivation and searched for him through three lifetimes. A fated misstep in one life, a wait in another, and a vigil in the third. All I hope is that you won’t let me down again! When the white plum blossoms scatter and I meet you once more, I won’t ask you to remember me. I only ask that you be well!
