Mr. Shi, Please Mind Your Manners. I’m Just an Assistant

The first time Ji Zeyu met Shi Qi, he mistook a plastic bag on the ground for a dog. Swerving his electric scooter from side to side, he startled Shi Qi so badly that he fell flat on his backside. He’d never seen a grown man cry like that. But instead of paying compensation, the guy ended up becoming his assistant, earning 20,000 yuan a month. Ji Zeyu believed that money really could fall from the sky. So Ji Zeyu’s first impression of the young master was: an idiot, a chatterbox, and someone with about eight hundred tricks up his sleeve. * Shi Qi had landed hard on his backside and scraped his hand. He couldn’t help yelling, “What the hell! How dare you hit me?! Do you know who my dad is?!” The guy replied, “Didn’t your mom tell you?” Shi Qi froze. Who answered a question like that? So Shi Qi’s first impression of Ji Zeyu was: a soft voice, and a languid way of speaking. He immediately decided to befriend Ji Zeyu and hire him as his assistant. * Later, at some point, Shi Qi suddenly understood. He understood why Ji Zeyu always blushed and got shy when he saw him, why he kept pushing him away, why his heart raced so fast, and why he was always so careful. He also understood why, whenever their eyes met, Ji Zeyu was always the first to look away.
