Many different races live on the Jiuzhou Continent. The most powerful are the Snake Clan of the Southern Frontier, the Fox Clan of the Eastern Wilderness, the Human Clan of the Central Plains, the Xiongnu of the Western Desert, and the Wolf Clan of the Northern Frontier. The factions have fought for years, with neither side holding the upper hand for long. As their power gradually waned, the races reached a superficial peace, but beneath the surface, tensions continued to simmer and conflicts never ceased.
