My Cousin Was Newly Widowed, and the General Forced Me to Drink the Concubine’s Tea

I am Jiang Luo, Princess Zhaoyang. I have a fiancé chosen for me by imperial decree: Song Li, the General Who Guards the North.

Three years have passed since our betrothal, yet I have never met him.

Two days ago, the General Who Guards the North returned victorious, covered in glory.

And... accompanied by his newly widowed cousin.

At our first meeting, his cousin tearfully begged me to drink the tea of a concubine, while Song Li stood beside her with a look of tender concern.

My embroidery needle pierced my finger. They say blood on a bridal veil is an ill omen.

It seems this marriage was never meant to be.
