Baby, I'm Sorry

My daughter died in the collapse of the children's palace.

My wife, a firefighter, was also at the scene, but she was busy saving the father and daughter next door, the ones she had always cherished.

As my daughter took her last breath, she cried and asked me, "Was I not as good as Shanshan, so Mommy wouldn't save me?"

You poor, foolish girl.

She just doesn't love your father, and that's why she doesn't love you.

On the day of my daughter's funeral, I called Su Yan.

She snapped, "The father and daughter are barely scratched! Don't get jealous and make a scene at a time like this! I'll be back before midnight to celebrate our daughter's birthday!"

Then she hung up.

As I looked at the smiling face in my daughter's portrait, the last trace of love I had for Su Yan vanished.
