[Pristine little heiress vs. aloof, slow-to-warm redhead]
Chi Yumo, the heiress of a wealthy family in Jiangcheng, accidentally sat in the wrong seat at a university burger joint while going to buy something, and ate the burger on the table.
It was a hot summer day, so her roommate was keeping an eye on their table. Chi Yumo didn't know that her roommate had already moved the tray to the table behind them.
A young man walked over. Nan Tingyi was completely baffled. “I was gone for just a few minutes. Isn't that my meal?”
Chi Yumo, still eating her chicken wrap, started to explain.
“Sorry, it's just that the seat across from you belongs to my roommate.”
Nan Tingyi said nothing. He quietly sat across from her and watched her eat.
“Are you going to eat too, or are you just going to keep staring at me?”
“Or can you somehow fill up just by watching other people eat?”
Watching her eat her fries, Nan Tingyi let out a quiet laugh, but still said nothing.
He asked, “How does it taste?”
She nodded. “It's okay.”
Her roommate said, “Momo, I just went next door. The owner asked me to pick up some vermicelli.”
Chi Yumo said, “Sorry, why don't you have my meal instead? We ordered exactly the same thing anyway.”
Nan Tingyi didn't respond. Was she trying to make peace? Then how was he supposed to get another chance to contact her?
Not knowing how to pursue a girl, he began deliberately trying to catch Chi Yumo's attention.
Years later, when they were deeply in love, Chi Yumo was still curious enough to ask, “Were you the one who fell for me first?”
Nan Tingyi nodded.
Chi Yumo: “Would it kill you to say something?”
