This is a management accounting transformation guide that demonstrates the future-oriented capabilities that finance professionals should possess.
This book is divided into 6 modules: data wisdom, cost analysis, cost control, resource integration, strategic finance and value management. With 30 topics (i. E. 30 Sections), dozens of real cases, and more than 100 charts, it explains the management accounting way of thinking and problem-solving methods, and answers common problems faced by financial personnel in their daily work, such as:
How to find your value proposition
How to find the starting point for integrating business and finance
How to build your own core capabilities in the face of intelligent office robots
How to use data intelligence to enhance financial influence
In each section, the author introduces a pair of key (contradictory) variables behind the problem from a financial perspective, explores a management idea, shares a practical tool, and shows an effective result to help business partners make decisions, improve performance, and enhance management levels. These real cases reflect the author's understanding and definition of management accounting:
Management accounting = finance + business + management
The author abandons the obscure language of ordinary professional works, and talks eloquently without losing rigor. He analyzes key points with detailed and thorough analysis, and frequent golden sentences. I hope this book can give you a fulcrum to quickly become a qualified management accountant.
Reader comments
This book is really useful! It does not contain difficult professional jargon, and the author explains the knowledge and tools of management accounting in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. The cases in the book are very real, making it easy for me to understand and apply them. Especially the part about data intelligence and cost control gave me a lot of inspiration. I think this book is not only suitable for professionals, but also for housewives like me. It can help us better manage family finances! However, I kind of hate the employee in the book who always procrastinates, and I hope I don't meet such a person in real life. Overall, this is a good book worth recommending!
After reading From the General Ledger to the Director, both are good books worth reading again and again. The chapter on the positioning of financial personnel on themselves has broadened my thinking. The value creation of management accounting runs through corporate procurement, production and sales. I did not understand a lot of content after reading it briefly, but I will continue to internalize it in the subsequent application of what I have learned.
