Lost in You When I Wake

Please note! If you’re here for a groveling-chase romance, you can leave now. Let’s not put each other through that! Not every childhood friendship naturally turns into love. In fact, knowing each other too well can make it harder to understand your own feelings. Neither the hero nor the heroine is at fault. They simply realized how they felt at different times, which led to misunderstandings. Feelings are hard to put into words. If saying “I don’t love you” could sever every tie, there would be far fewer lovesick men and women in the world. It’s precisely because feelings are so hard to sort out that this story exists. [Childhood friends, second chance, 1v1, both leads are sexually inexperienced] Sang Yi used to think that Chen Shangchi indulged and favored her because he liked her, at least a little. Even if it wasn’t much, it was enough for her to walk toward him with conviction. Only in the end did she realize that this supposed affection had all been a figment of her imagination. She let go and left without hesitation, moving overseas and disappearing from his life for good. Chen Shangchi always seemed detached from worldly desires. Everyone thought he loved no one, not even Sang Yi. So when news came that Sang Yi had returned, nobody paid it any attention. Until one day, someone saw the usually calm and self-possessed Young Master Chen disregard the woman in his arms as she struggled, grip her chin, and kiss her forcefully. The woman looked familiar. It was Sang Yi. I once thought you were nothing but a responsibility to me. I never imagined that, while I was lying to myself, I had already fallen hopelessly in love with you., Chen Shangchi
