That Early Summer, I Met You

Li Ming was aloof, troublemaking, and fiercely proud. In secret, he had a crush on Song Xiaoyan, a transfer student. Song Xiaoyan was a lively, cheerful girl, always full of sunshine and energy.

Li Ming didn’t dare confess his feelings to her. Afraid she would reject him, he could only watch her from afar.

When Li Ming asked Song Xiaoyan to help him study, they grew closer as she tutored him. They studied together and helped each other, and Li Ming experienced a happiness he had never known before. That happiness changed his life.

However, just as he was preparing to summon the courage to confess to Song Xiaoyan, he discovered that she already liked someone else.

Li Ming was devastated and heartbroken, but he still chose to wish Song Xiaoyan well in silence.

As time passed, Li Ming and Song Xiaoyan went their separate ways. They would sometimes think of each other, but the love they had never spoken of remained in their hearts forever.

Years later, Li Ming ran into Song Xiaoyan again by chance. As they reminisced about the past, he discovered that she had liked him back then, too.

But it was already too late. They both had lives of their own.

This experience of loving someone he could never have taught Li Ming to cherish what he had and to be brave. He understood that some chances, once missed, could never be reclaimed.
