After Donating My Corneas to My Wife, She Only Asked for One Last Look at Me

Three years after I died, Jiang Pei returned home as an internationally renowned dancer.

Amid a crush of camera flashes at the airport, she took off her sunglasses, revealing a pair of sparkling eyes.

“I owe my success today to two people: my ex-boyfriend, who abandoned me because I was blind, and the kind soul who donated their corneas to me three years ago.”

Later, my dad had his legs broken, my mom lost her job, and even our home was burned to the ground.

Only then did Jiang Pei learn that after I was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, I had donated my corneas to her.

She went mad with grief, begging my mom for a photo of me, just so she could see what I looked like.

But my mom only looked at her coldly.

“Didn’t you burn them all yourself?”
