Back to My Golden Days with Xu Yubai

Xu Yubai was eight when Hong Ying’s parents adopted him. That same year, Hong Ying’s father, Hong Liang, a heavy drinker, got hooked on gambling and turned into a vicious domestic abuser. He blamed everything on Xu Yubai and beat him whenever he saw him. Growing up in that environment, the two of them relied on each other for comfort.

After Hong Liang died, their relationship took a nosedive. Hong Ying could no longer get close to him. She kept trying to mend their relationship, but when his father came looking for him, of course he went back with him. From that point on, they never saw each other again.

In her second year of college, Hong Ying married Ning Hui to pay for her mother’s surgery. After the wedding, Ning Hui’s sexual dysfunction led him to abuse her constantly. Hong Ying was humiliated and beaten to death, and she never saw Xu Yubai again before she died.

After her death, Hong Ying wandered the world. A being calling itself “Regrets,” the cry from deep within her heart, took her into different worlds to complete missions. Her reward? A chance to return to the past!
