I Transmigrated into an Evil Stepmother, and the Male Lead Can Read My Mind

After staying up all night reading a novel, I transmigrated into it as the evil stepmother. The young male lead knelt on the floor, his face full of stubborn defiance, his thin back covered in old and new whip marks. Thinking about the horrible fate awaiting the stepmother at his hands, I shuddered, dropped the whip, and forced a kind motherly smile. “Sweetie, you’re so cute!” The System issued a stern warning: “Host must maintain the evil character persona, or be erased immediately!” I immediately shouted, “Stop kneeling there and getting in my way! Get out, get out, get out!”
