Journey to the West Anecdotes: Something's Not Quite Right with This Tang Sanzang

[Original-work fans, read with caution. An unconventional world, no System, pure entertainment, no harem.] A Tang Sanzang who's not quite right, a plot that's not quite right, a world that's not quite right. When Li Xuan wakes up, he discovers that he has transmigrated into Tang Sanzang! The good news: he seems to be able to become a Buddha. The bad news: the requirements for becoming a Buddha seem a little off. How are you supposed to play along if they won't let you follow the script? Li Xuan sighs helplessly and pats the monkey on the shoulder. “It's not that I don't want to save you, bro. This mountain is just too high, and I can't climb it. You'll have to find someone else!” With that, he turns and walks away without a backward glance. The monkey is left behind, utterly bewildered. “Wait, bro, you're really not going to save me?”
