Lately, no matter what kind of novel I read, it's full of melodrama: family power struggles, harem battles, you name it. Every story has people fighting over something, whether it's toxic family members, relatives, neighbors, or whoever's in charge. Even planting crops turns into a battle. I'm exhausted.
