My name is Chenyu. I’m from an ethnic minority in southwest China, and back home, on an old street said to be over six hundred years old, I run a little teahouse.
Everyone knows that aside from doing business, most people in teahouses spend their time chatting about all sorts of things. At my teahouse, there’s a group of regulars who like to sip tea and tell tales of the strange and uncanny.
Every evening after dinner, they gather by my tea stove to tell stories they claim to have experienced themselves, or that happened to someone else. They’ve even given these gatherings an elegant name: Fireside Tales.
P.S. The stories in this book are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual events is purely coincidental.
One chapter is a short story, which is very suitable for readers who don't have the patience to read long chapters. The author's writing style is very good and the story is also very connotative. It is worth reading.
