The Blood of Youth: I Became a Corporate Drone

Modern-day office drone Lin Mo arrives with memories of the entire plot of The Blood of Youth, reborn as an unknown “visitor from overseas” in the jianghu. Though he can’t even lift a chicken, he uses his fluent “modern memes” and accurate predictions of the plot, which he always manages to mess up himself, to successfully join Xiao Se and Lei Wujie’s crew.

He uses a tree branch as a microphone and makes Lei Wujie sing, “Oh, this mortal world, its endless passions and deep, foolish love.” He explains to Xiao Se “how to bounce back by livestreaming sales after going bankrupt,” and when Wuxin appears, he shouts, “Master! I’m the top donor in your livestream!”

Though Xiao Se often smacks him on the head with copper coins for saying the wrong thing, and Lei Wujie chases him around asking, “What kind of treasure is a power bank?”, when the plot veers off course and his friends find themselves in danger, this seemingly unreliable modern man always manages to turn the tide in the most unexpected ways. For example, he uses his trusty lighter to ignite a signal flare, which is mistaken for a lost secret art, or explains the workings of mechanisms with middle-school physics, which people take for an unrivaled secret manual.
