The more familiar Star Rail storyline begins in Volume Three. The male lead’s character is partly inspired by some of the character concepts behind Jiuxiao and the Kaslanas. He’s rather chuunibyou early on and wants to save the world. Beneath Its shadow, the fate of Izumo and Takamagahara was sealed. Everything would return to nothingness. It was a destiny set in stone, one no one could break. Monet and Mei were the only proof that Izumo had ever existed, and its final resting place. As Izumo fell, Monet sacrificed her physical form to resist the encroaching nothingness. She forged a scabbard with purple markings for Mei and successfully sealed the blood-red Edict Blade, 『Nothingness』. “We’ll meet again in the vast sea of stars. So stay alive.” Afterward, a girl calling herself 『Acheron』 wandered through the endless sea of stars with a long blade in hand, searching for the love of her life. Meanwhile, It was born from the shadow of nothingness, emerging from nothing into being, then from being into nothing before returning to being once more. Life and death turned in an endless cycle. At the end of the story, legends of two 『Galaxy Rangers』 spread across the universe.
