Reporting to Your Highness: The Princess Consort Has Run Away Again

The famous Prince Rui of the capital married a young beauty of eighteen when he was over thirty. From then on, his peaceful life became a daily whirlwind of chaos. When the prince realized it had grown unusually quiet around him, he told his subordinate, “Go see whether the princess consort has gotten up yet.” Before long, the subordinate returned to report, looking cautious. “Your Highness, the princess consort has run off again. He begged in a low voice, “At least give me some face in public. Once we're home, you can punish me however you like.” At the word “punish,” the young beauty suddenly blushed. She glared at the prince, looking both embarrassed and annoyed, as though she wanted to curse him but was barely holding back. Every time, he told her to save his face and promised she'd get to punish him in their room. He acted so meek and obedient, but by the end of it, she was always the one who came off worse. She felt like she was the one getting punished…
