The Top Scholar Baby

My mother-in-law had heard that babies born in August could grow up to become top scholars.

In secret, she replaced my pregnancy medicine with drugs to induce premature labor.

My baby was born three minutes late, and I became the family scapegoat.

Whenever my son's grades slipped, my mother-in-law would tell him, "You could have become a top scholar. Your mother ruined your chance at that fate."

I went to great lengths to get him into a good school, giving up my career to supervise his studies.

But after the college entrance exams, he stabbed me to death. "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have had to study so hard."

Reborn, I smiled at them. "We won't go to a good school. Our family has a top scholar's destiny."
