Finely Edited Commentaries on Ancient Texts

This book is a refined edition compiled by Wang Wenru, a recent scholar, based on the commentaries on ancient prose compiled by Wu Chucai and Wu Tiaohou during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. This book is completely different from the currently popular ancient texts, which are mainly translations and annotations, or supplemented by simple explanations. The focus is to reveal the main purpose of each article or explain the artistic features in the form of eyebrow comments, analyze the subtle meaning of the article paragraph by paragraph in the form of comments and comments, sort out the structure of the article, and explain difficult words in the article. There is also a biography of the author at the front of the book for reading reference. It is a commentary that explains profound things in simple terms and has unique characteristics.
