The Red-Lacquered Bed

My parents wanted a son, so they turned my elder sister into a red lacquer bed. But in truth, they had been deceived by Zhang Daxian, the village spirit medium. He made the whole thing up to raise a little ghost and get rich. My sister had known for a long time. She kept giving me sugar pills, but they were actually bone powder she had prepared in advance, so she could use my body to return to life. After I found out, I devised a plan to catch them all. I couldn’t bear to part with my sister, so I arranged for her to be reborn in the body of my newborn younger sister. In the end, Zhang Daxian and his male lover destroyed each other. My father went mad, my mother died, and my sister passed away soon after birth because she was frail. In the end, only my younger sister and I were left alive in this world.
