As Zhao Xuanhao walks down the street, a mysterious force pulls him into an unknown space. The people and objects around him turn into monochrome grid patterns, and time comes to a complete standstill.
A voice suddenly rings out, ordering Zhao Xuanhao to save a world. Before he can agree or refuse, the mysterious force hurls him into that world. When he comes to, he realizes it's the setting of an otome game he once played, and the character he has become is nothing more than an obscure nobody.
