The Matchmaking Immortal Came Down to Earth to Play Cupid, Then Ran into Ghosts Again

Meng Xier is a matchmaker who is afraid of ghosts. With her performance numbers in the dumps, she descends to the mortal world to drum up business and becomes a shady, unscrupulous matchmaker. “This girl took one look at you and fell for you. She doesn't want a dowry or anything, she just wants you,” Meng Xier said with utter sincerity. The man at the blind date eyed the woman, who had one blind eye, a hefty figure, and a fierce-looking face. He swallowed nervously. “I heard she used to kill people?” “That's right, she used to kill people, but she's turned over a new leaf. The state reformed her. If you don't trust me, surely you trust the state? Look, we've been together all this way, and she hasn't killed me!” said Meng Xier. “Well? Let's set it up!” But after talking herself hoarse, she failed to make the match and nearly got beaten up for her trouble. As she was thrown out, Meng Xier still couldn't understand. She'd clearly seen a peach-blossom curse on the man, so why hadn't the match worked? Was the woman she'd introduced him to not fierce enough? Then she saw a female ghost kissing the man passionately, and it finally dawned on her. No matter how fierce a woman was, how could she compete with a ghost? But the ghost was terrifyingly ugly. She'd kissed the man's tongue right off during their French kiss. The guy was a real tough one, too. He must have been starving to put his mouth on that. Waaah, she was terrified. But she'd taken the money to get rid of the ghost, and she was a poor ghost herself. The others were evil ghosts. They were all ghosts, so who was better than whom? She'd just have to do it. “Wait, aren't you a matchmaker?” someone asked in surprise as she trembled, clutching a ghost-repelling talisman. “Life is so stressful these days. Who doesn't have a side hustle?” Meng Xier said miserably. “It's just that this side hustle is a little hard on me.” A professional matchmaker taking on the unprofessional business of ghost-hunting.
